There is no label... The stone is very fine and it looks exactly like labeled stones however - so I assumed it was Magog.

There is no such thing as a labeled Magog if you found one please post pics been looking and searching for a long time!

Seriously just saw one last week maybe on ebay i am not joking.

Edit it might have just said canada celebrated or something to that effect

if you could post a pic of the cleaned side of the stone it will be very easy to tell if the stone is a Jnat. The fact it has all that dark spotting on the surface makes me suspicious it is not a Jnat but a side photo will help identifying the rock.

Canada celebrated, Canada oilstone have been somewhat common we are talking about Magog oilstone here!

Listed as such, how can you call something that you have nothing to compared to? thats the uk seller on ebay who loves to give his stones famous names.

There are many eschers listed as such as well!
