Is coated with Kristall, a transparent spray paint, I've sprayed 4 times.

I'm VERY curious about this stone and still waiting on the funds to purchase one. I would love to have a comparison done to this and the Purple WHIG. Can anyone make that happen? I've read the WHIG post front to back to front again and don't remember seeing blade images under the scope either.

Is anyone able to do this?

I'm inquiring about the Zulu and if I purchase one I have the Purple WHIG too so I can give my opinion.

    Default South African Hones....

Well, I did my star razor, a solingen F.W. Engels special. The thing was sharp, it got sharper and kept the smoothness. Did 30 passes on 16k shapton glass, then did 3 sets of 20 circles + 20 X strokes diluting a slury to water and barely using the weight of the razor. The TPT felt like melted hot glue, the thumb will not want to slide at all and only did with a lot of coaxing along the edge. I knew I had a sharp one in my hands. Stropped 60 on leather and went for the shave last night.

After beard prep I proceeded to lather and shave, I should have stop on my first pass for a DFS, but I had to go for it. Did another pass ATG for a 97% BBS, and that's when I should have really stopped, but that 100% BBS was just a few strokes away. That's when I messed up, used to much pressure on the chin and under the jaw line and ended up with some raw areas that stung with the alum. All the time, I was feeling (more like lack of feel) the blade on my face and if I would have stop on one pass, it would have been the most "no feeling" edge with less hairs left over kind of shave. Another score for the Zulu Grey! Double O

LOL! Well Jimmy, if I could set bevels like you, then I would entertain that tittle, lol! I knew you could fix it if messed it up, that's why I had to try.

The truth is, I'm eager for you to try it. I predict you be selling "9" out of your "10" (lol) Eschers to buy Zulu's. Lol. I know you are worried your Escher portofolio will go down in price with the introduction of this stone. You know timing is everything, and I think now would be a good time to SELL and buy Zulu's! LOL! Its the Florida housing market all over. LOL!

I tell you what Jimmy, if you like it, I'll trade you for an Escher and I'll buy myself another Zulu, LOL. I'm in a good mood today! Still touching my face from last night. Double O

Guys just a quick note to let you know I'm not dead. I'm just working furiously to get your orders out. I'm working on 12 new stones and looking to send them out in about a week or so. I've been made to wait so long for the last batch of stones to be cut that it's not feasible to do it this way anymore. So I have purchased my own masonry cutting machine to cut my stones myself and speed things up.

Once again I am very sorry for the seemingly endless delay, but I assure you that I am working hard to ensure each stone is prepared and cared for the same before sending out. I will soon have surplus stock and be ahead of the game so to speak. So very soon I won't have to aplogise for the delays, and thank you for your patience.

But for now; thank you so very much for your patience - all of you who are waiting, I really do appreciate it.

    Sincerely,
    - Mike
