I have yet to hear the word tiger. I currently have two coticules, one tiger and another one natural combo that is fast. The tiger stripped was the first I bought and it was the stone I learned how to hone a razor to a comfortable shave. I won't say 10 or 15k, but it is finer and slower than the other coticules I have tried. And other tiger stripped ones I used since, I believe they have smaller variance in their characteristics compared to the "classic" coticule.
