    Oh my! that's some pretty rough and tough stuff for a razor. I've never attempted anything as tough as that without diamonds, and never in a razor.

    I got the one from a guy in South Africa IIRC. I've honed on it. I did resort to diamond during some of it. The other came from a vendor that handled RW's stuff and it was shave ready enough. I don't know if he honed it or if it came that way from Robert. I have since touched it up, had it a few years, on the escher and it is still going strong.

    Yes that's right. I believe that is still his default for finishing.
