My findings are that the stones are in a finisher league, but the shaving quality is beyond a razor finished with a vintage thuringian stone....but they really look aweful with their clouded inclusions and the glittering...
I will sent my example with the next package to Hatzicho to have another experienced statement on these stones...
Here is the original label which was on my stone, i only have seen 3-5 the past half year all in a near barber Hones size...
I have no further information on the Blais Company what they did and when they were active...i have to admit i didnt researched the topic further till now...

Thuringian Beautys
Something i found today which might fit in thinking of the family History, if these are the right Blais i do not know but the connection to running a Barber Shop in Hartford Hilton Hotel might fit....so here is the text:

Sure sounds like the same Arthur Blais. I wonder where he sourced the stones ? If he ran a barber shop it makes sense that he'd be interested in razor hones. Could he have been a rockhound in the wilds of NH in his spare time ? Or did he contract the stones from a nearby quarry ? Interesting stuff.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
