Thanked: 3226You should scrape/knock down any high spots before using it the first time. There have been instances when that was not done that the DMT plate left leave ugly disconcerting scratches in the hone being flattened. Happened to me for one. If you do a quick site search there are a few threads on it and how to cure it.
