    Default Dremel honing???

It works! Used king 1000 stone to get edge then the dremel, with paste on buffer wheel, 2 rounds on eatch side. Then 10 with old leather strop. Shaved almost as good as the pro honed one!
Abit hard ADG but I din't use lather 2 times, and that made even the birnando razor strugle;kr Damn the prep are important!

It would be less dangerous to use the dremel attachments to buff or grind the hair off your face I think.

Well apart from the risk of the blade shattering and sending shards of steel into your vital organs you mean?
Einar, it was just a jokey comment, if it works for you that's great, but was it really a lot quicker once you set all the dremel stuff up etc?

Hehe, not going to use it. Was just to answer the tread I use the dremel to polish, good for that.
Don't think it will be a consistent metod of sharpening and also the point with hones for me are that it's fun!
    Still it got surprisingly sharp...

So maybe something the guys on the Mexican gun forum that has been mentioned elsewhere might be able to use

Probably, I learned to hone woodworking tools of some old pros, they used a fast rotating leather disk with green paste to give it a polished edge. Extremly effektive

Well yes, but it's tools for tasks isn't it, I wouldn't use secateurs to chop down an oak tree, or an axe to cut a flower.
