Dremel honing???
This sounds Like a dumb question even to me, but I was wondering if anyone has even attempted it and what the results were. Have any of you used a dremel and the different sharpening attachments to try and hone a SR?

Haha I wasnt planning on it, sounds Like a terrible idea just wondering if anyone has. Plus I have this pakistani blade that I'm really not worried about messing up right now

I have used a dremel for cleaning on a restore but would be too hard to evenly sharpen and well as probably overheat the edge and lose temper. (the blades temper, not mine....well maybe I would lose mine too)

Not April 1st is it ? Using a Dremel to hone a razor is kinda like using a hammer as a screwdriver.

Well....
Seriously, I know a guy that claims good results with compound loaded felt buffing wheels.
I have warned him of the concerns associated (mainly thin hard steel resonating against an imperfectly round wheel resulting in fractures). Other concerns include angles, frowns, and heat.
Long story short, anything is probably possible, but there comes a time when we should all ask WHY?!? There are far fewer variables and concerns with the boring ole' hone. Why not reduce the problem to its most basic form?

Yep, tried it about 20 years ago. Like the great fire of London it wasn't that great.
