It's hard to know without knowing how close it is, does it violin the hht I assume after strop.
Typically after bevel set for me, I will do about 7 dilutions from milky slurry using dilucot method with frim pressure.
I will then wet the stone but keep the tiniest haze of slurry and do 20/30 half strokes easing pressure slightly before jumping to water only after cleaning stone and razor. From here I wil stay on water untill I get a decent hht after stropping alternating between half strokes and x strokes sometimes circles (there's no hard and fast), but do like to finish on about 50 light x strokes. You really have to get to know your stone, there's a lot of variables. I have a coti that I can get any razor too hht for the life of me.
