You will need a way to flatten stones: dmt 325 plate is my favorite.
Then you need a bevel setter. The chosera 800 or1000 are the best imo, but the king 1000 is very cheap and works well.
Then you will need a hone. I recommend the norton 4/8k stone. Its easiest to learn on for newbies. Avoid natural stones!!!!!
Thats all you need for a good long time. Dont buy finishing stones yet until you master the 8k norton.
