Thread: Dovo - New, Out the Box

The last two "right out of the box" razors I bought may have fooled someone into thinking that they had a bevel. But looking at it under a microscope you could see that it was a mess. It looked like a mountain range, full if peaks and valleys. Did it pass the usual tests (thumb nail, cutting hair at skin level)? Yes. But it was still a mess and needed to be reset in order to correct all of that. Unless it was sold as "shave ready", I'd do as Utopian suggested and reset the bevel. If its passing any of those tests, it wont take much to do it. If the edge is not looking clean and straight, I don't move on. But you would need to evaluate it under magnification before you would know that.
