So I gave it a try. Taped on a chosera 1k to reset the bevel then moved on to the 3k without tape. After that I used the dilicot method on a coticule followed by a finish on a thuringian and chromium oxide. Took some time but got great results and no scratches. Best of all I won't have to wonder which razors were taped or not. I'm pleased.
