Are you referring to this one? : http://cgi.ebay.com/Old-Escher-Thuri...QQcmdZViewItem

I followed it and was gobsmacked by the price it fetched.

    Kess,
Yes, that would be the one. Like I said, Rabbis will pay a lot for these.

    Default Kees' Y/G E & Co.

Well, as everyone should know by now, Kees has the world record on hone steals! He bought a beautiful E & Co. Y/G (same thing as an Escher) at a Dutch auction site for 36 euros, and this included some razors! I am personally stalking Kees to be there when he makes even the slightest false move so that I can pounce on him and wrench this prize hone from his viscera! Sorry to be so graphic Kees, but you know how I feel about your gorgeous stone, and don't bother to try and barter or purchase this prize away from Kees, he won't budge! I offered him what to any other being would have been 3 or 4 times what could be dreamed of for this stone and he wouldn't have any part of it. That's when my passions took a turn towards the black arts and the unspeakable became so enticing and feels so good!

I think you have a hone fixation. Your hunt for a 4"x8" coticule first raised my suspicion, but this confirms it.

I have a large floor-tile sized lithography stone lying around that's supposedly very good for sharpening, but I haven't yet gotten around to cleaning it up and trying it out. It's yours for 500$ and shipping. deal?

Rich offered me everything short of a million dollars for my Escher

I am afraid he really came down with hone acquisition disorder.

Unfortunately for him I have always wanted an Escher since Lynn told me it was his favourite finishing stone. I was just lucky but I did not buy it to make a profit. Next time a lay my hand on one I'll offer it to Rich 1st, that's a promise!

I've got my 4X8 natural Belgian hone, I have nice blue-grey Eschers and now I want a large yellow-green Escher like Kees'. I think that the term fixation is over the top, I simply want whatever I want and am willing to pay for it. And I think that you know where you can put your lithography stone, comments like that have no place on this forum. There is no point to insulting members just because you don't share their passion for something. Ridicule is the weapon of very small minds!

Kees, thank you very much for your kind words. I know that since I have a Dutchman working in my corner I am assured success! BTW, I've been in Holland many times and always enjoyed it. I have a number of Eshers that you can have your pick of, I just want that big Y/G E & Co. stone that you have, that's all. You have my standing offer, anything you want short of a million dollars!

    Timeout.
Rich, I meant no offense or insult. Did you fail to notice the smileys and

Other people speak about brush acquisition disorder, razor acquisition disorder, or whatever. These things are in jest, and not to insult.

I just noticed that Kees thinks that you have severe hone acquisition disorder. Does this means that Kees is insulting you too?
No. Kees is making the same Joke that I made (without the smileys I might add) yet you completely fail to accuse him of insulting you. Why?

I did NOT insult you in any way
I did NOT ridicule you in any way.

OK, OK Bruno, I guess that the crack about buying your lithography stone for $500.00 just hit me wrong. I know Kees for some time, we have gone on and on over his yellow-green E & Co. stone so it's kind of a thing between us. Anyway, no offence taken and yes, I do have HAD as well as RAD and a bunch of other AD's!

Chill people chill. No-one is trying to insult anyone. Of anything that could be taken as an insult you should consider whether it's a joke first. A lot less toes get stepped on that way.
