The last two pics look like someone switched out your bevel with a new DMT 325.

Couldn't tell you how many shaves. Not many. It was honed somewhere around June. No visible rust on the edge. I've tried stopping all the marks out. They are there for good it seems without some other more aggressive measure. I may have done this when I was learning how to strop. I did nick the leather a few times. Not many.

Also there are some tiny spots of rust showing on the face of the blade, is there rust / corrosion at the edge too ???

    Just for clarification ..

This razor was honed months ago ???
It has been shaved and stropped about how many times ???

I am trying to determine the cause, the solution is apparent, it needs to be touched up at the least, that dinger needs to be taken out, but what we don't know is why it is there..
That would be nice for you to know so perhaps it won't happen again, or perhaps it is just time for a re-hone..

Glen you know I don't know , but can you even compare a DE edge to one that is honed?? Under magnification at that level, I always understood DE blades were then coated after they sharpened to get the edge that have , just wondering if I remember right, tc
