    Probably did not completely set the bevel.

    This is a common result of a hair test, you can only test a small sampling of the edge.

    Use magnification and visual test straight down on the edge, to make sure the bevels are meeting. Do not move up in grit, until you are absolutely, positively sure the bevel is set.
