    You are probably pretty close.

    Just for grins, put two layers of tape on it, ink the bevel and do 20 lite X laps on your 12K. It should hone just the edge bring the bevels together and give you a shaveable edge.

    Next time you hone it you can remove the double or triple bevel.

    At least you will know what the issue was.

    Euclid thanks for the help. When I go to remove it do I just start over like it has no edge?

    Yea, 40 or so laps on your 1k or 60 or so circles, should give you a nice flat bevel.

    All you will be doing is knocking off the apex of where the bevels are intersecting and reseting the bevel angle, to one flat bevel, not much steel to remove.
