    the thing about lee valley's bar is that they say it's primarily chromium oxide admixed with "other fine abrasives" and i'm kinda iffy as to what those others abrasives are. they also say it leaves a waxy feeling on blades which i'm not sure would be all that great

    If it comes in a box marked "Formax Mfg., Michigan" then it has abrasive grit up to 6 microns in size. Beware of the stuff in a bar form. get the stuff from Handamerican.com

    sonofa... it is labeled Formax from Michigan.... grr.. guess I'll wait for handamerican to get back together...
