Default What a difference a touch up makes!

Well I really lost track of how many shaves on my rotated razors but today I decide to touch them up with some strokes on the 4k-8k-12k stones.

So this afternoon the Dovo Gentleman was put back into action and woooo weeeee what a smooth gliding razor it was again! Just like new and a close shave!

I guess I need to stay in tune to my razors pull to signal a honing session!

Well done sir. It's a great feeling when you get a razor back to shaving perfectly again. As soon as you feel a slight tug or its not quite on par bring out the 12k for a few laps. You wont be removing much steel and you'll find maintenance pretty easy.

I can see the 12k refresh, even down to the 8k and up to the 12k, why all the way down to the 4k?

It has not been touched since you touched it up last Joe! I really have gotten some mileage out of it.

No real damage other than a microscopic nick from a mishap with the dremel tool trying to use a felt wheel to polish out some blemishes. But I figured the 4k would be agressive enough to smooth that out a tad.
