Well folks the verdict is in. I went to see my friend today. He looked at it through the microscope and it was the bevel. one side was good but the other side wasn't. Looks like i'm having a little trouble when I push the blade away from me which doesn't surprise me for that's when the author sets in. I have a little trouble with the thumbs. From now on I will set the bevel using both hands. That way I can keep the blade flat all the way through. It is kind of strange though. This razor shaved but not great. It should have been awful. I guess that is a pat on the back for the razor. shaves even if honed wrong. I haven't used it yet but will tomorrow. I'm sure it's goanna be great. One good thing about today it was great for a bike ride. Put in round trip a 443 miles ride. Not bad for a old fat man.

Well I waited later in the day to clean up and shave today. let what beard I got get a little longer. I got the C-Mon out and didn't strop it just laid it on the folded wash cloth by the sink with the shaving soap. got through with the shower and it was time to shave. I used the SRD Lime soap and my old every ready brush and worked up a real nice lather picked up the razor and it just glided through the beard. I now have a clean comfortable shave on this red (embarrassed) face. Just goes to show you that your never to old to learn.

Thanked: 1184Stainless is very hard stuff. When you think you are there, keep going to make sure. Remember it should shave arm hair real nice after 1k. I also found the 12k to be very harsh when I finished a Duck of any kind. Smoothed out after I took it up a notch to a Zulu. You may want to do a few more laps than normal on your strop when you get that far also.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
