But a high grit hone is going to cost him, and even then you might need some more experience , trying to do it yourself at first means you don't know what is shave ready ,thats why you need to have it done first , much cheaper and gets you a really truly a shave ready edge to learn on, So many want to save money buy honing their own , but until you have a bunch of razors it's not cheaper and even then how often to you hone?
