I see I am slow tonight.
It is SO exciting around here also.
A long way in between.
Maybe we should meet in Kansas City and see where a Dragons Tongue fits into your progression????????????

G'Nite! :chapeau
Not quite but close.
One of mine a NOS Mitsuon 3000 came in from Japan yesterday, as with all NOS that come my way they all must pay a visit to the 8K 12K and finally the 20K, haven't yet come across an edge that doesn't shave better after a visit to the Suehiro Gokumyo 20K.

Lovely Jamie, will this one be a keeper?
New stones. Unknown mine. The awasedo is very hard. Light green with clouding. The tomo has layers of yellow, green and some red.
5/8 Dovo went through 1,3,5 and 8K. Then DN slurry on the finishing stone followed by the tomo slurry. Finished on slurry without diluting. Nice and sharp with very comfy edge.
