I just gave an hour and a half to the science of honing :)
Took my custom Hart which had a great edge and killed it . Nothing is more important than me progressing in the art of honing.
I was trying an experiment with a Tomo but to get there I had to go through a full progression of Naguras.
At the end I noticed 1k scratches in the middle of the blade.
Time to lap my stone, that took a good 20 mins with the Shapton plate and I've yet to try and smooth it out .
I am happy to have a fresh surface on the plus side.
Hopefully I can find time during the week to re-enact my Tomo experiment
Cheers

I used the yellow-green side of this "natural combo" thuringian to finish a newly restored James Barlow. This is the first yellow-green thuri I've ever owned or used. I got it a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed using it... it give a wonderful edge! Also, I've been holding onto a couple small chunks of yellow-green for a couple years hoping one day I could use them as slurry stones if I ever found a yellow-green thuringian hone, so that worked out pretty ok.

Touched up a few blades on two different Eschers yesterday.
The Engels Trademark and the Beau Brummel 35 went into the y/g Barbers Gem
The Hans, Engels Special, and Bartmann 100 went on a Barbers Delight sized light green Escher. I’m going to do a bit of comparing to see how the edges differ.

A couple of sweet Herder 25's tonite.
Headed to the old blue-green rock in solitude.
With a new layer of tape, of course! ;)

Tested out what I thought would be a knife/mid razor 38mm thick kuro renge suita on a red imp 132 wedge. Turns out to be a very nice creamy finisher. Excellent shave and so smooth. Leaves that I can't stop touching my face feeling
