I always thought it was since it's only 5cm wide.
Yeah I gave it a good stropping and the HHT looked pretty good but the shave honestly surprised me. I only did half face since on the other half I was testing a Friodur I honed for a fellow member.

Thanked: 3215“Newest and first Jnat. it's a Oozuku Mizu Awasedo, and my fiance bought it for me for my Christmas present!”
From Tomonagura?
Nice stone and that Tomo is a nice pick, she’s a keeper, did her homework or a good listener.
Do you have other Nagura, how are the shaves?

The Boker "Our Own" Hollow Ground is one of my best shavers. It was a wee-bit tuggy on the last shave, so as I'm still experimenting with the Zulu Grey, I tried another technique I read about on the long "South African Hones" thread. A whole bunch of dry passes on the ZG (I didn't count-maybe 10-15 minutes' worth) followed by my usual stropping regimen brought it back to sharp and smooth. I have yet to find a technique that doesn't work on this stone!
There are many roads to sharp.

7 Joseph Rodgers.
The first one was honed twice to figure it out.
All 7 had bevels created on the Naniwa 800.
Then bevels set on the Naniwa 1000.
Then 18 laps on the Ozuku with a Tomo slurry.
Honed & stropped one at a time. 2 had to be re honed.
Cheers

Jnat with a couple mikawa nagura (mejiro and Botan) and a tomonagura. What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
