The moment of truth for the minature razor how would she take to the hones? well I can report back wonderfully well she's a 3/8 wedge so I decided to go with two layers of tape, took a fare bit of time to set the bevel but when i finally got there it was a beautiful micro bevel up the progession, 1K 3K, 5K, 8K, 12K 20K stropped without doubt this little minx is shave ready.

I had some free time this afternoon so I decided to try out my new Naniwa 12K SS. I lapped the Naniwa then did a refresh on the two on the right - a Sheffield Cutlery 11/16, and an Imperial Razor Co. - New Improved Eagle. I also recently picked up a W&B Medium Extra Hollow Ground, so after cleaning it up a bit and polishing, I went from bevel set to finish on Norton 1K/4K/8K and the Naniwa. Shave test in the morning...I'm still pretty new at this so we'll see.

This custom Max Sprecher shorty was on the stones today what a beautiful razor I didn't want to give it back, posted back out today such a shame I would have loved to give this one a shave.

Here's a pretty little French frameback. Final finish on vosgienne stone w/oil.

The refresh went great. Both razors gave a great shave. The W&B, not so much. I'm sure there is a place near the heel where the bevel is not set so I'll try again.

Setting the bevel on this W&B FBU...slow and sweet...take my time to establish a bevel of bliss...

Decided to do a SRP member Wolfpack finish on this razor, Coti followed by and Escher....after the Nani 12k, some time on the Coti, then a nice long walk on the Escher....another shave test tomorrow, and if it rocks it, then to some CROX to tighten it all up.

The pyramid method, as I understand it, makes no sense. On the 12k I will do 10-20 strokes depending on how the blade acted on the other stones.
