If you are worried about money don't get one now as there will be others. If you are interested in honing they are probably worth the price. If you drive 100 miles looking you will spend more on gas. I have spent as little as 50 cents on a barber hone at a garage sale.

Have to go through there anyway. Have been thinking about the 2 together with the wood holder and leave the 2 $20ish ones unless they are rare or something. Was going to grab then but figured I would throw them up for opinions.

That's what I would do(2 for $20).

So I left the keen cutter, Shuman was in good condition even though I didn't really want to pay the price tag, and of course grabbed the two for $9.95 with wood tray. One of them has a gouge 2 inches long razor edge wide. Both have gunk.
What can I clean/scrub them with?
What do I need to research to lap them and is it necessary?"When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound,
