    Your sharpie photo indicates that your bevels arms not meeting. If the bevels had been fully set, then the sharpie mark would have been eliminated.

    The edge is at the top, the spine is off camera to the bottom. Are you referring to the sharpie along the bottom of the photo (spine side of the bevel) or is there sharpie along the edge side that you are seeing? The bevel is wider at some spots because of the warp, so I got a little heavy handed with the sharpie so I could see where I'm touching the stone and where I'm not, so there is definitely sharpie in spots that won't be removed by honing.
