Is the "bevels not meeting" shown by the polished edge... stria not going to the very edge?

Oh, and bad resolution is bad. In this guy's defense maybe he's just a hobbyist who hasn't shelled out the money yet. If he is a so called "pro" and hones for other people then that is another story and the photo is just embarrassing. Humble opinion.

FWIW I don't think the USB Microscope that most folks here recommend is really all that expensive, and it takes very nice pictures. I can't remember which model is typically recommended or what the ballpark pricetag was though.

The phrase, "Buy cheap, buy twice" comes to mind though. Things like that are why if I buy a tool, I'm all in on it unless it's literally a one-time use only type thing.
