Now assuming both edges have the bevel pointing down and the lower is the touched up edge.
I think the bevel face on the lower one looks polished about right, but there looks to be micro chipping along the edge that could cause harshness that or the bevel was not completely set to clean the edge up properly or a few sideways strokes are needed to straighten the teeth out?

Is the lower photo pre stropping or post?

I only use a loupe so might look different for me LOL
    Just my view YMMV

As far as "honemeister" I think he has a way to go. There is too much stria for my taste. A little stria does not bother me but that is a lot for a supposed finished edge. I think that is about a 1000 grit stone stria pattern. I could be wrong.
Actually, the bevel is on the lower portion of the photo so, thanks to a camera angle allowing no light reflection, no stria are visible. The other major objection that I have is that the edge is not in focus, so what does the photo really show at all?

Sadly, you only win my agreement.

I think the "quality" of the photo makes it impossible to tell make any assessment at all. The bevel is not reflecting any light, so it's hard to make any assessment of the polish. The edge is so far out of focus that it's hard to see if there are chips or not.

I wonder if anyone considers these photos to be sufficiently informative?

No, I was attempting humor in my previous post, but essentially the photos are so poorly done (unintended or not) that one cannot make any quantifiable determination of the supposed honing quality of this razor based on them.

They are the most poorly taken edge photos I've seen on this forum to be honest with you. Initially, I thought the second photo showed the edge facing upward.

Pictures can be staged, altered, and/or borrowed so easily.....

Well, he didn't claim to be a photographer extraordinaire, just a honemeister extraordinaire...

He could certainly benefit from spending some quality time participating in a decent macro photography forum.
