Oh man! I can feel my own stress level shooting up imagining the scene.

Since I'm Mr. Clumsy Hands, I guess I have to put some padding on the floor when I shave or hone

Glad that your razor was not damaged. Happened to me once and luckily it fell on the rug.

Worked on it a little more on the 12k Nani last night. Shaved off a heavy two day growth today and it is almost back to where it was.

I have been there, unfortunately I chipped the edge on my razor. I was able to put a new edge on it though so all was not lost.

The important thing is that you didn't hurt yourself and the razor is shaving again. I'm sure you will get the edge back again. If nothing else it has given you a little more practice on the hones.
Fact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

Well, i haven't actually managed to drop a razor yet, i did however manage to hit my front teeth with the edge, shaving upwards under my bottom lip.

my front teeth are my own, by virtue of the fact that i still have the receipt for them. They are actually made of Zirconium, so quite hard. No major damage to either teeth or razor, just a small ding in the razor that honed out.

Thinking of starting my own thread on this subject. So far i have 4 razors i have dropped ! 1 the edge is all wavey now. Makes me want to cry. The other 3 just need to he honed. The last one i dropped was just this am. A dovo i bought used. I had at one point managed to get that to the pinnacle of sharpness. Haven't been back there yet. But always hopeful lol
