You know it's funny, that's how I feel about my Shapton Kuromaku 12K. Lighter is better...

I don't remember razor burn being an issue from last time. But I do remember the blade tugging more than I'd like. One Gold Dollar (The others shave too danged good to mess with...) dulled with 3 strokes on the corner of the Norton 1K, prepped, stropped (110 each linen and leather) and 'ready for action.' Almost can't feel it shaving arm hair, we'll see how it does in the shave tomorrow evening or the day after.

I'm operating on the assumption that paste would be cheating, otherwise I'd have done a few hundred on CrOx.

Did that challenge a while back when I started to learn to hone. Shaved at each step of my progression till I reached 1 12k finish. Learned a lot from each step.

Now where in the world did you ever get that crazy idea??

I highly recommend doing so! As you may remember, I also suggested trying shaving right off of the hone and then after stropping just to feel what's going on.

I'm not setting any rules for this, but no, you cannot strop on a Jnat.
