If you have a lot of honewear there is no telling what the previous owners did to that razor to get it sharp.
The angle may be all off now, and the only way to fix it is to either regrind is which is an extreme option; OR more commonly keep honing at a 1K level until your edge starts to hit the hone again.
Of course you can get around all of this by just adjusting the angle yourself with tape so the edge hits the hone better.

I got off early today so I had time to work on this razor some more. The way Rez said was what worked best for the issues this blade has, different wear to each side of the spine and a warp to the edge. To set the bevel I put two layers of tape on the spine wore it down to make it flat on the hone and then added a layer of tape, set the bevel and then on through to miss and the finisher. The bevel is not perfect but it is way more even than it was before. And it shaves very well. Thanks guys for all the help and advice

Much better! Tape was the way to go IMO.
