Thanked: 246Wish I had a bevel angel. That's like a guardian angel but for honing, right?
With respect to angles, it's pretty uncommon to find a razor that can hold a good edge under 14° and the high end is wherever it gets uncomfortable for your face. I've shaved with edges up to 30° with no issues, though they don't shave as close.

Thanked: 3222I use the bevel angle calculator download contained here http://coticule.be/wedges.html to help get me into the 17 degree +/- 2 degrees ball park. It is easy enough to use and close enough for government work.

If you know the thickness of the razor spine and the width of the blade you can figure the angle your bevel is sharpening if it is laid flat. Rise over run like the pitch of a house.
If you are talking about shaving angles any thing from 0 to just less than 90 degrees should shave hair.
