Thanked: 9Great thread! Lately I've been trying Coticule slurry on lot's of things with interesting results. Setting a bevel on my #1 Washita was moving slowly, added Coticule slurry and sped things up with a feel on the stone that was lovely. I also have a random 8 x 2 slate, most likely Vermont or east coast variety, that the merest hint of Coticule slurry totally changes the action and feel of the stone. In that particular case I feel like I added 1 + 1 and got 2.5 in return. Experimenting is great!

Thanked: 556Recently tried Kuro Nagura slurry on a Vermio finisher. Seemed to better bridge the gap between my Norton 8k and the finishing stone. I should keep notes, but always forget, so it’s not a very scientific conclusion.

I just tried a Thurigan slurry stone on a Coti last night.
Was quite pleased at what I saw in the loupe, Much better than the Coti ,slurried with a DMT.Mike
