Yes, Tony - I remember reading about it. I think there are some variations in the spelling like Mueller vs Muller or something but nevertheless, I just meant that my stone came with the label that I saw on the stones Kees was selling

So I think Tony has it right, in that, while Kees doesn't get his stones from Manufactum, his and manufactums stones are from the same source. Havent played with it too much, but it is quite slow
This settles it, Eric! I am sorry for the misinformation I spread - I understand now that Kees and Manufactum get the Thuringen stones from the same source. I absolutely agree that it's very slow after some work.

Guess I was right to think it's a Thuringen (vs. a Hunsrueck) - in hindsight maybe a Hunsrueck would be better if it cuts just as fine but much faster...
