Definitely a perfect razor, for learning how to compensate for a razor with issues. Like all of um at once.!
Just cause the bevel is ugly, don't mean it won't put a smile on your face. But, yeah. Put a smile back in that thing and get R done.Mike

Thanked: 292Have you consulted Nate Z to see how he honed the razor? If he was able to get a nice shaving edge, you should be able to do so as well if you follow a similar procedure. Since the grind seems to be close to quarter hollow, I presume he used tape, but how many layers of tape did he use? When you hone the razor, you have to use at least as many layers of tape as he used or you will never reach the apex of the bevel. Due to the unevenness of the spine, I suspect Nate may have used several layers of tape to smooth out the spine contact with the hones.
Since the edge of the razor is far from being straight, you may find better results if you hone it on a narrow stone rather than a full width one. That allows you to better control the pressure along the full length of the blade so you do not end up with some parts of the edge getting more effort than others. If you do not have a narrow hone, but have a 3/4" - 1" thick hone, you can hone on the side of the hone rather than the top.
