Reminds me of the game warden who suspected a known habitual offender of using illegal fishing methods. He always filled his cooler even when other guys came back to the dock with empty fish boxes. So he invited himself to go along with the guy. They get to a nice little cove and the guy pulls out a couple sticks of dynamite with fuses already stuck in. He lights both and hands one to the game warden.
"Hey, don't you know fishing with explosives is illegal?" asks the frantic game warden watching the fuse burn.
The guy says, "What, you come along just to talk, or you gonna fish?"

I thought I would let you know of my Coticle experiences so far.
I have experimented with finishing on Coti dry, with running water, with Crox and have settled on finishing with clean water with a very little slurry.
I have been killing the edge on the same razor just about every other day and honing it from scratch including bevel setting using the Unicot method.
I don't want to wear the spine especially as I am honing the same razor so often so I have always used a layer of Kapton Tape while honing and adding a layer of electrical tape for the micro bevel.
My Coti edges have been improving and are now pretty damn good, although I wouldn't want to show them to Glen or Mike yet.
I decided to try the Dulicot method today, there is no micro bevel with the Dulicot method but I did add a layer of Kapton before i started still.
I killed the edge on the rim of my china shaving mug and began. I don't know why people suggest killing the edge on glass because the stone seems a lot more convenient but I'm sure there is a good reason.
I used the Dulicot method as I said and reduced the slurry as I went, long story short. I shaved successfully, not as well as with the Unicot and I am going to need to practice and improve the Dulicot if I want to keep using it.
I really want to get good at he Dulicot method because I would prefer not to have to have a micro bevel all the time. I don't really know why except that a micro bevel just sounds like it wouldn't last as long.
The Unicot method is easier and more beginner friendly but with more Coti experience I think the Dulicot without a micro bevel is the way I would like to go.- - Steve
