I have a Norton 4000/8000 that has been soaking for over a year without problems. Well.. OK... Maybe some user problems, but that's a different post.

Depending on how you use them, soaking is most likely fine.
I have one that's been water for over a year, and has held up fine.
However keep in mind that I use them daily/almost daily, and I change the water twice a week.

If you don't use them that often, don't leave it soaking, as it will get slimy.

I really hope that was a typo and the intended word was dowse. If not, you might have a different relationship with your stones than I have with mine!

Soaking a coticule for 20 minutes is not necessary.
They are not porous. putting some water on it when you start using it is all they need.

Douche simply means shower in German, and probably other Germanic languages....English is a Germanic language, I wonder when Douche got it's current connotation in English?

Howard from TPE (a great gentleman) has recommended against holding it in the bucket 24/7. The bond does deteriorate, and he mentioned that Norton is not overly helpful on this issue even with him (and he is a Norton distributor)

Decide for yourself if you want to risk this

    Cheers

ps - and there's no point in soaking the Coticule, as mentioned. Not so sure about the Kita, never had one but thought it doesn't need to be soaked either
