I got Lynn's video and it helped a little but all the pyramids in the world haven't really seemed to do the job.

right now all the razors that I have honed are sharp enough to pop hairs off of my arm but definitely leave something to be desired when I shave my face with them.
Based off of other shave ready Str8s I've used they aren't cutting it (pun intended).

I just do a standard pyramid. Most of my razors aren't too bad off to begin with but even trying to freshen them up leaves them too dull to get a clean shave out of them.

Any sage words of wisdom or suggestions or people going through the same thing?

I happen the same. If it comes to that point to continue with diamond pastes of 1 micron followed by 0.5 micron ... IS MAGIC . Straihgt shave wonderfully since then. I hope you serve. I am what I teach an old barber.
