Try this link.
For cleaning strops I like to use a bit of Goop or Gojo (non-pumice please) hand cleaner and paper towels and sometimes an improvised squeegee. It doesn't take very much.Last edited by Sticky; 06-04-2008 at 02:37 AM.

Thanked: 2209Just because it has started to turn black or gray does not mean it needs to be completely removed. What I have done is to use some GOOP, 1-2 drops at most, and smear it around until the black/grey is gone then let it dry for a day. The abrasiveness returns.
Be sure to read the sticky in this forum that shows how to properly paste a paddle strop. Most people use far to much paste.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Thanked: 2209A dot of water is ok. What we try to do here is to help new guys and, generally speaking , water and leather do not mix. I do not want to give the impression that it is ok to scrub clean a strop with water and soap!
