See, this is one of the reasons I'm glad both my sweetie and I use straights... they'll never fall victim to that kind of mistake.

Tell the wife she has to learn how to hone the razor back for herself. Funny thread.

I had a very similar experience with my wife, and this is what I did. In fact, she also used a scratchy cloth on the piano in the living room, so now I clean that room myself too.

And then, she unplugged my computer one day cleaning in the study. Same solution - I now clean the study too.

And just the other day, in the kitchen, she ...... hang on ..... ....

I hope you can bring your razor "back to life".

My wife never did anything with my razors, nor I haven't told her anything about them. She just knows they're sharp and because she's scared to death to cut herself with anything (she faints at the sight of blood) she leaves them alone.

Disaster is called off, guys. I managed to save it with the pasted leather.

After several laps, I finally got it back to passing the HHT, the way it did when I first got it. Tried a shave, and it went smooth as rain. A bit rough on the ATG pass, but that's due to my shoddy technique.

GAWD ALMIGHTY!! You guys crack me up. What a great thread. JMS, The MDT(missing digit test), not that I'm tempted to try this method, but out of curiosity, how often do you use it?
