    pizza what you have explained is exactly what i have been trying to explain you could'nt of worded it better.I have a ti that is exactly the same. How long does it normally take to get right i no it depends on the razor but just aprox.

    The worst one took ten minutes (which seems like forever) of continuous circles and back n forth on the DMT 1200 to get it to the point that I could even *start* to work on setting the bevel. That particular blade was very hard steel and in terrible shape. On average, I'd say about five minutes of circles and back n forth before you can start working on actually setting the bevel. But like you said, there's no real set time.
