Chromium Oxide is a polishing agent, i dont know how it works it just does, now you guys let our secret honing method out for the world to see

I am not curious enough to try it as my diamond spray and crom ox deliver the goods but Bon Ami and Comet have light abrasive in them. Maybe sprinkled on newspaper they might give a light polish to an edge.
