Backhoning is an effective way to remove an overhoned edge. If you are comfortable with the technique, do that, and then rehone.

There is a downloaded barber manual by Thorpe in the "Help" section that will help you with the honing and stropping checks.

Scott, if i mistated or came off wrong I am sorry, i was only trying to explain what I did and why I did it or didnt do it, that s why i said in my reply that I needed to go back an re-read because I thought that I had read that but I guess I misunderstood. I think sometimes I read to much and dont give it all a chance to soak into my brain

and you are correct, I have never done a TPT after stropping, but i will start now, thanks for the tip, now I am going to download the barber manual you reference

Thanks again for all your help

Oh, no, no...no need to apologize!

Guess one of the downsides of online forums is there is no inflection of voice or facial expression. Guess that's why smilies were invented I need to remember to use them more often.

My fault if my response came off.....as off I was kinda multi tasking as I posted. My bad.

    Always here to help.
