A BBW I got not long ago smelled like smoke for about the first two weeks I used it. Wet or dry, smelled like European cigarettes. I didn't mind.

Yeah, love that smell. It was the first thing I noticed when I started to hone with it, and the first thing Bart asked about it.
My first coticule has a very fragrant scent to it. My latest one, though, is a vintage stone that was soaked in oil. All it smells like is honing oil. :/
