    While you are getting used to the plate and you start setting bevels one piece of electrical tape would be advisable IMO. It will take metal off the spine a lot quicker then a Norton. Once you are used to it do as you please tape or not. Just my two cents.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
