Thread: dovo razor

My new dovo razor just came and first time ever i have noticed hone wear down the spine it was not because i orderd it to be honed as i like to do my self. This is unusaul as my last 6 razor dovo from same supplier i have had to hone out factory edge my self .Any one else noticed this? may be dovo are now pre honing them because of customer complaints that they are not shave ready as it says and states shave ready out of the box. Even still i gave it a going over coti just to see if it sits right on hone as usaul one side does'nt doing x pattern took care of that so not a problem i wonder if there honing as made the spine slight uneven i don't no just presuming.

Watching the videos of TI and of Dovo workers honing and stropping they seem to have quite a heavy hand. Perhaps yours was done by a workman who laid it on a bit too heavy ?

I must say it looks like some ones layed it on heavy i have honed a certain razor many times reset the bevel 3 time as and the hone wear is not far of that it is or was one of my practice razors .

I hope your new razor was just that, and not a return from someone who tried honing it and returned it and the vendor is trying to pull a fast one on you.

If your not happy, send it back. I'm sure they'll take it back and make you happy. Just don't mention you honed it. Sounds like you were "regifted". Someone may have sent that one back before....You never know....
