    Ok here's another hone I found today
    but not sure of the grits. Maybe someone on here does.
    Box reads Norton Quickcut Oilstone
    on the side it reads UPB 6
    I dont think oil was used on this stone has no smell at all
    Tried to search norton but the closest thing I found was a UPB8

    Bob it seems to course for straight razor. Just try first on something else before using on straight.
    It is just from seeing picture . not sure 100%

    lapping stone should be flat first. i don't think this stone will do the job before you make it flat. Try dmt's for lapping they are very handy 325 grit or lower or you can try Norton lapping stone. i think they aren't so expensive
