    So do you think i would have better luck over all adding another finishing hone, maybe naniwa 12k and avoiding pastes. Unless necessary?

    Also.. with a chinese 12k do i need to worry about anything other than paste?

    How about just shaving with those edges a second time and seeing if they've calmed down due to shaving and stropping? Just an idea...
