Default more layers of tape, how to strop?

As I understand, when honing with one layer of tape, you can strop the razor without.
But what if I put 2 or more layers? Do I have to tape the razor before every use?

No. There should still be enough deflection in your strop to reach the edge.

this is a little controversial topic Some believe strop will bend enough and edge will touch. Some says 3 will hurt the edge. I believe that it depends who is stropping . if you put enough pressure you will hurt the edge. without pressure you should be ok.
    hope this helps.

I strop razors that have been honed with 3 layers of tape on a regular basis. For me it is a non issue, when stropping. It is a pain in the rear when it comes to doing a touch up though.

Try it for yourself and see how it works.

I only tape bad hone worn spines, or old & rares I don't want to mess up. I have yet to have a problem on the hanging leather strop from a taped spine.

Default the blades on your site

    Spazola,
I love the blades ! Since there is no scale, how do you store them so as to keep them safe?

    Al,

I keep the razors in a little wooden box with built in dividers.

The box is painted with red and black shellac.

Wow Charlie ! Nice job with the shellac. Looks like urushi.
Did you finish that with pumice?
