sprinkle the stuff on dampened hone
lay lapping stone on top
move lapping stone longitudinally until lapped

Yeah, like he said. Soak the hones, make sure they're nice and wet, then sprinkle that lapping slurry on the hone to be flattened. The bottle is a metallic powder used to make a faster cutting action for the lapping stone (My dictionary lists it as "emery powder"??).
#2 just says to make sure you move the lapping stone uniformly over the stone to be flattened.

Thanked: 43It might be beneficial to use the lapping hone at a diagonal angle from caddy-corner to caddy-corner, as in the picture. Lining up the hone and the lapping hone squarely could ruin the lapping hone - especially if your stone is as dished as the one in the picture!
